That means many didn’t have \u003Ca href=\"\u002F2024\u002F01\u002F09\u002Fways-your-home-equity-can-help-you-reach-your-goals\u002F\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">home equity\u003C\u002Fa> they could use toward their home purchase.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>That financial hurdle alone makes buying a home more challenging, especially at a time when affordability is a major concern for first-time buyers.
