There is no doubt that the process is not as easy as it was eight to ten years ago and that’s probably good news. However, it does appear that availability to mortgage money is increasing with each passing day.\r\n\r\nThe \u003Cem>Mortgage Bankers’ Association\u003C\u002Fem> publishes the \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fwww.mba.org\u002Fnews-research-and-resources\u002Fforecasts-data-and-reports\u002Fsingle-family-research\u002Fmortgage-credit-availability-index\">Mortgage Credit Availability Index\u003C\u002Fa> (MCAI). According to their site the index is \u003Cem>“a summary measure which indicates the availability of mortgage credit at a point in time”\u003C\u002Fem>.
